Yoga for Freediving: Target Training is ideal for all intermediate to advanced freedivers who want to tackle some of the trickier mental issues and break through blocks to make training easier and/or more enjoyable. You might want expert help with your equalisation and mouthfill, have suffered from over-training or under-performance, constantly turn or surface early, well ahead of your potential, or just feel that your freediving isn't the fabulous fun that you know it should be. This is the week to get to grips with the nitty-gritty.
More about this programme
Sara coaches intuitively and looks forward to the challenge of working with each individual personally. This week is designed to show freedivers how relaxation and awareness are the key to improving performance - and how to get there. With maximum eight participants in any group, and two coaches per group, you will receive in-depth training in yogic principles and practice, meditation and pranayama and learn how to apply these directly to your freediving. This is a great opportunity to get expert, top-level advice to shift your freediving performance to the next level.
Who is it for?
This week is for intermediate to advanced freedivers who can already dive comfortably to a minimum depth of 30m. We do accept divers who have not yet reached this depth, providing they have completed the Yoga for Freediving: Back to Basics week.
Each training day includes theory, yoga, meditation and pranayama sessions of between 2-3 hours, and then our in-water training, which is as long as it needs to be. The schedule for this week is loose as Sara works intuitively with the challenges that each student presents. Typically we will spend time on deep equalisation/mouthfill, body awareness, mental intrigues and letting go - but please feel free to bring whatever you need most to the group.
